Santa Fe Indian Market Haute Couture Fashion Show
I was honoured to participate in the 97’th annual Santa Fe Indian Market at the 2018 SWAIA Haute Couture Fashion Show, which highlighted Native designers who push the creative exploration of original and unique fashion inspired by their diverse backgrounds. The show is an innovative expression of fashion, design and art. The fashion show was produced by Amber-Dawn Bear Robe (Siksika). Award-winning and internationally-recognized Native designers included Adrian Standing Elk Pinnecoose (Navajo/Southern Ute), Cody Sanderson (Navajo), Maya Stewart (Chickasaw/Creek/Choctaw), Pam Baker (Kwaguilth/Tlingit/Haida/Sqaumish), Shayn Watson (Navajo), Decontie & Brown (Penobscot), Yolonda Skelton (Gitxsan Nation), Sho Sho Esquiro (Kaska Dene), and Jamie Okuma (Shoshone-Bannock/Luiseño) & Ataumbi Metals (Kiowa/Italian).
